Frankly, I don't give a flip what critics think, but I guess they have redefined the word 'slaughter' to mean doing far above average. And I won't even go into the inaccuracy of your "chart knowledge," but if you would like a list of charting, gold, and platinum songs he has produced without a major label, feel free to look them up yourself.
