Plus prime Alicia raw and soulness in her vocal give people the goosebump while other people thought Aaliyah vocal is just cute because her tone is beautiful.
If prime Alicia and prime Aaliyah did a song together on stage, Alicia would of slay Aaliyah on that stage.

Oh, so you know every person that listened to Aaliyah never got "goosebumps"? Do you have statistics to this claim? You can't say what everyone feels

Alicia was a better belter, but Aaliyah had better tone, more range, and her falsetto alone **** bricks on Alicia's barry white mess.

Give me a break. Aaliyah technique wasn't all of that either. Aaliyah have a good tone but Aaliyah was never view as a great vocalist. And plus, prime Alicia was a better live singer than prime Aaliyah was live. Aaliyah is not a better vocalist than Alicia. Sorry.

Alicia, even in her "prime" was a throaty straining mess, it just took years for the public to really catch on to it.
How Aaliyah compete with Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson and Lauryn Hill when people never compared her to them? Aaliyah only got compared to Monica and Brandy. Who would compare Whitney to Aaliyah? Like really?
Fallin' >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I Care 4 U. And yes Tamia and Kelly Price would sing Alicia under the table but they will also sing Aaliyah under the grass and dirt.
How Chris Brown and Trey Songs competes with Alicia when they not in the same level as her boo. Like are you serious? And what Clive got to do with anything again?
Yes they all made a bigger impact than Alicia. No duh!
But Alicia Keys made a bigger impact than Aaliyah. One In A Million or her other albums will never be more remembered than Songs in the Minor and The Diary Of Alicia Keys.
And Lol @ you thinking that Aaliyah sing better than Alicia when we all know that not true. Another Lol @ you thinking that Aaliyah is more talented than Alicia.

I'm talking about compeition for awards sis, it doesn't matter if they were compared or not. It was ALOT more hot (and more talented) r & b artists out during Aaliyah's era as compared to Alicia's. And that's the bottom line.
WHo are you to say what will be remembered?
OIAM alone is a classic because it will always be a reference album. Do a biography on Missy (The best selling female rapper of all time)? OIAM is mentioned. DO a bio on Tim (one of the greatest hip hop producers of all time, also built Justin Timberlake's career)? OIAM is always mentioned. Look back on influential r & b albums? OIAM is always mentioned. You can't reference Alicia's bland ass catalogue for **** because all she does is jack soul singers.
