Success? Yes. A good song? Not in my opinion, while I don't mind it it's not quite what can convince me that working with him is a good idea.

I hate that whenever fans think of Will they automatically think of Big Fat Bass, even though he's already proven he can do much different sounds. Again, look at Scream & Shout. Plus, looking through Will's transformation since 98 when he started producing, his music has always been good and is always evolving. Plus, knowing that the direction for the album isn't necessarily going to center around EDM tracks should be enough to give fans faith that Britney and her team are taking the right steps to give us less "production" and more Britney.

It's not just Big Fat Bass, but ALL of his recent productions. S&S was a step up from BFB, and some of his demos with other artists have been somewhat promising, but the basis of my opinion remains centered around his work with her, not his work in general. Of course, a lot of what opinion is formed with my subjective dislike for the majority of his music.

On top of that, I hate that so many of the fans don't have faith that anything Britney does will turn out great. Seriously, when has she ever let us down? When has she ever had an era that fans couldn't be proud of in some way. She's always changing the game up and has become one of the greatest pioneers when it comes to mainstream music. It's crazy that her fans are so willing to "be done" just because they don't like one song [Big Fat Bass]. If anything, we should have been afraid of the Dr. Luke executive production announcement. Femme Fatale turned out to have least amount of Britney's personality than any other album. It was Dr. Luke's at recreating a Teenage Dream-like album just full of radio hits. Unfortunately, it didn't quite turn out that way. Sure, it had outstanding success on radio FOR BRITNEY, but since when does Britney need to prove herself on radio? I love that album, but I hated the direction. At least with will, we don't necessarily know what to expect or how the general public will accept it. That's a great quality to have.

It's NOT Britney that I don't have faith in, it's Will. When has she let us, her fans, down? Many times, but let's not get into that. Though, yes agree with you in the sense that she basically never disappoints when it comes to being in the studio. Furthermore Big Fat Bass is not the only reason that I am against this. I also didn't say that i'd be any happier about a Dr. Luke executive production, though his work with her as well as in general is much better in my opinion. I know that Britney is always changing her sound, and that's one of the things that I LOVE about her music. In general, I feel as if this part of your response to me is somewhat misaimed and serves more as a general response than it does to what I had to say and to my thoughts so I won't spend too much time on it. You don't have to prove Britney to me, which is what most of your post is trying to do, she is not who I have an issue with here at all.

So stop your bitching and have faith in the Queen.

I am not bitching, I am simply expressing that this does not serve as good news to me. However, i'm not damning it to failure, because I haven't heard any of the work. I formed my opinion based on will and Britney's history and if he does indeed deliver, and I like the work i'll be the first to admit it, and bop. As a fan, I naturally
do want this album to be a success both content and commercially, but content is the priority. She also has appreciable music direction, and a good ear for it so I am hoping that this is will prove to relinquish any doubts that I had once the album is released.

I guess that what Britney needs right now is "hits", a lot of hits. Being in the charts ... A lot of people (not using the net/looking on forums) did not even notice she had a "Femme Fatale" album. Songs didn't have a hitimpact like "Baby One More Time" or "Toxic" ... So i would be happy if it was a fun, cool album with a lot of hits, with a few songs with a deeper meaning ...

A lot of people didn't know about Femme Fatale because it was inadequately promoted. Trust me when I say that Femme Fatale didn't fail because of "a lack of hits" but a myriad of other factors played against that album's success.

Why not opt for both. Sure, I'm going to support Britney even if the album is a flop commercially. That doesn't mean I don't want her to be successful. That doesn't mean there can't be a happy medium. Who says Britney can't have another "Toxic" or "Womanizer?" All of Britney's most memorable hits are produced by different people. She always brings in new producers and has a seasoned pro at the reigns for exec prod... except in the case of Blackout, but Danja wasn't necessarily brand new to the game.

Again, you have misconstrued my words. I was simply saying that commercial success is not the priority, nor do I believe as a fan it should be. My thoughts were simply were that convincing me that an album with Will = hits means that it is a good idea doesn't quite work because that is not the first thing that I want from her album.
To respond to the rest of your post, I also don't want her to fail successfully, i did not say nor did I imply that there couldn't be a happy medium or that Britney can't have another 'Toxic' or 'Womanizer'. Yes all of her hits are produced by different people.
That's not my point.
To conclude, none of this makes me any happier about her working with Will. I am HOPING that I am wrong and that he delivers but based on my dislike for much of his work, in particular, his work with her for now I am not happy to here this.
However, let us just be happy that she's already working on another album, because quite honestly I was not expecting another one for A WHILE so this is quite exciting to find out & I am THRILLED that she is back in the studio and has a least some of her charm back from what we've seen.
