#08. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds
Date: May 6th, 2012 Event: High Flying Birds Tour 2012 Location: Club Gimnasia y Esgrima de Buenos Aires (GEBA), Buenos Aires.
Noel Gallagher and his band gave one of the best concerts of the year in Buenos Aires. Last year I had the opportunity to see his brother's band live which was just an OK performance. Noel is definitely one of my favorite vocalists ever. Listening his voice live was a great experience. He is quite clear when he speaks. He seemed to be in a good temper that day, he laughed several times and made a great connection with the audience, which was full of Oasis fans and people with posters saying things like 'Noel = God' or something like that.
They played a lot of Oasis' songs (something that Beady Eye didn't), incuding an acoustic version of "Supersonic", which was great. He had to start several times because he said he had already forgotten the lyrics of the song, lol.
The encore was amazing. The audience started singing "Live Forever" as a way of asking them to play that song. But Noel said they won't play that song because he already forgot how it was, lol. Instead, they played three of the greatest Oasis songs: "Whatever", "Little By Little" and "Don't Look Back In Anger".
I've already seen the Gallaghers in their respective bands, but I've never seen them together! I know next time they will come back as Oasis. (I wish!)
