Iggy Azalea Is Her Own Woman
Rap goddess Iggy Azalea dropped a shocker on her fans recently when she acknowledged that T.I. won't be executive producing her debut album—and this could either be a good or bad thing depending on your feelings for either of them.
To be opinionated, this could be the right move for Iggy, who has shown in no uncertain terms that she goes hard and independent with or without the presence of popular names in the industry.
It also doesn't look like there is any bad blood between Iggy and T.I. The Australian rap talent made sure she clarified that when she said the following:
"T.I.'s actually not executive producing my album anymore. He was going to be, but originally, all the records that I had on Glory were supposed to be on The New Classic, and he executive produced what ended up being Glory. But as I was making it, I felt like, 'This isn't The New Classic. This is something else. It's not the right sound.' Not that it sounded bad, but it wasn't what The New Classic is in my head, it went good, it was an experience, but after, he said and I said it's better if I just make my own music away from him because sometimes being around him, it influences the music I make to be a bit too much of a different sound. It's not because I don't love, because I love him."
It's good that she clarified that this wasn't a beef type of scenario—or else fans of hers and T.I.'s might start spinning rumors. That's if they haven't already.
If you've been anxiously awaiting the release of her debut album, you're not alone. Iggy Azalea has been working hard to put forth top notch sounds, and the time it's taking for it to be release is only indicative of how amazing it will sound. Iggy's her own boss, her own woman, and she has her own sound in mind. Be patient!
