I actually did a chemistry experiment (long story, won't explain everything) and figured out that most store brand items (like instead of TUMS, you would get ShopRite antacids) work much better and are much cheaper. Because of the psychology if people's minds. An item with a known name, is something people will buy because they think its of better quality. It's nothing more than an illusion.

But it's not always true, in clothing. Sometimes the more expensive product has better quality, and will be more likely to last longer. I rather pay more for great quality jeans, than chep jeans that will last for a short time.

Well yeah I'm not talking about the better quality stuff I'm just talking about similar (to even worse quality) products but people would still buy the name brands because it's a brand that they think is better
