everybody knows record companies use shipments not hard sales. These rounded figures are what was
ordered. Whether they actually sold to customers is another matter entirely. They could be stuck gathering dust at the back of a store somewhere. Or thrown in the bargain bin which is what usually happens to unsold CDs.
I can imagine a lot of retailers over ordered Gaga's album expecting bigger sales. So no surprise she has a bigger gap between her actual sales and the shipments.
If that's the case, Rihanna has only sold less than 5m with Loud.
