BTW, those are ...Baby One More Time's shipments. It actually sold 24 million.

Uhhh definitely not.

While Britney's numbers are nothing to scoff at either, it really wasn't out of the ordinary to move massive album units like that during that time period.
There were like 15 albums that did it over a 10 year period.

Yh, that's explain why all of the Britney peers were selling over 10 millions back in the day

Totally agree with that post. Adele's sales are WAY more impressive because of the current statut of music sales.
Everyone knows 21's sales at more impressive than BOMT's sales anyways. Don't know why people are acting like they just discovered that or that it's wrong

Anyways, I hope it does. Witnessing industry history being made makes me bandwagon hard. Idgaf who it's being made by.
I'd say it's gonna surpass "...Baby One More Time" SALES by the end of 2013.
But the funniest thing is, Britney has such an impact that everyone here at ATRL make it seem like an even bigger accomplishment than it already is. And yet some of her haters here dar calling her "irrelevant".
The thing with BOMT is that, like offerings from *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys, it's not a very good catalog seller for such a blockbuster album. I can see 21 being a very good catalog seller in the same way similar adult pop blockbusters are.
