Then why aren't Carrie, Miranda, Kellie, etc. outselling your faves too?
IKR? This whole "country artists sell more albums" crap is nonsense. Quality albums sell more regardless of the genre. Adele is not a county artist but why is her album going diamond? Taylor Swift is the only current country artist right now who has 3 >4xplatinum albums. No other current country artists come close so please enough with that silly argument.
well his first song so good reached number 11, and the fact that taylor was featured on his song didn't help at all even though B.O.B was hoping for a hit song with her and the song only went #18 on the chart and it's been falling since then, I don't even think it can hit platinum in the US.
You're right that Both of Us wasn't the hit they expected, but it's already sold around 725k and it will go platinum by the end of the year.
Lmao @ you pretending Carrie is real country. Real country artists are flopping because the Nashville sound took over.
Carrie is. She isn't releasing music like Taylor just released.
I don't know who said real artists were flopping, because I know they aren't but let's not stray off-topic.

She's just as pop as Taylor
Quote:
The title track is an overwrought collision of Fleetwood Mac and Reba McEntire, with a chorus that wouldn’t be out of place on a Britney Spears hit.
Taylor isn't like any of those artists.
She's a popstar who appeals to country.
The artists you listed are solely country, they aren't benefitting from two major formats.
Carrie had sent a handful of her songs to pop, HAC and AC. And Blownaway has a pop add date so that argument is invald.
Then you don't listen to her or her music.
Taylor's latest song is more pop than anything Carrie has released.
Other people's opinion doesn't matter to me, especially when it's wrong and some random article you found to support your argument.

She's releasing country music. If it appeals to pop that's great, but it's still country.
Taylor is releasing pop music. Right off the bat. There is no comparison.

The whole "all country artists sell well" argument against Taylor is BS. That said, Carrie is absolutely not as pop as Taylor. I don't even think Carrie remixes her songs.

Carrie also worked with Max Martin she's a pop girl that no one cares about. She had a good run with her debut though
But anyways, how is Rihanna bigger than Taylor in the U.S?

Taylor has released one pop song and is appealing to country radios right now that's great too right? You seemed to forget "Love Story" and YBWM.
