I'm no vocalist, but I have a proper understanding of technical terminology since my sister sings.

I've conceded that Beyoncé can pull off complicated vocal runs (so can Florence, just not as well) but to say that she has more power than Flo is ignorant. Her belts are resonant and well-supported. They are NOT throaty.

Florence can go from a warm, soft and emotive head voice to an unwavering and RESONANT belt within seconds and I've never Beyoncé do it as proficiently. Granted, I haven't seen all her performances but w/e.

You are going to improve the terms, since it is anatomically impossible for a breath to go to the diaphragm, which is a muscular membrane. And the last part did not convey your point to me effectively.

I think she's intentionally exaggerating those breaths. The studio version of that song is breathy and it adds emotion. There are other live performances where she doesn't sound like this.

She's under the pitch whenever she belts when she should be in the center. The sound is too pinched. There's no "squillo", the ringing sound that occurs when there is resonance in the voice. If she was properly supporting the sound, it would have a lot less tension with far more overtones present. Her voice just has a piercing quality to it and she blasts at the top of her lungs.

Ah, the curse of using tech-speak to the "uneducated" - the inability to in an understandable manner convey your message to another person. I can feel the pain, but I suggest you find a way to try to convey this in a manner someone who does not study the subject can actually relate to, because appeals to authority are not that effective on the internets (too easily abused).

Her belts are throaty. That's one of the reasons her pitch isn't finely tuned. She's just banging her vocal cords together as hard as she can, and while she does that, she produces a tremolo (an overly fast vibrato), and this is a sign of her voice not resting on the breath, but the throat.
