I really liked how she sung Sweet Kisses. Dare I say, Jessica Simpson has an underrated voice?

Oh no, I think her voice is magical. I just think she tries too hard on some of her songs.

Wait, screw you ALL! "Soda Pop" is genius. Legitimate top ten material. I will pray for you all to recognize this and atone for your sins.
Also, I would have hoped that voters would at least appreciate the good ballads in this rate, but judging by the elimination of "Obvious," such is not the case. Too bad.
P.S. I definitely did NOT give "Quit Breaking My Heart" an 8.

This is another topic that will come up. It seems all four girls had the "pleasure" of working with the same producers, and as a result, the songs will sound like they belong on each other's albums. So, this song does sounds like it could've been on Mandy's album, but the lyrics really don't match up with Mandy that well. Not to say the lyrics match up with Jessica any better. This is the problem with Jessica, she has an amazing voice, but she's tethered to these godforsaken lyric nightmares that her voice barely matters. This is just another whatever song to me.
My score: 6.

OMG, I'm so sorry. I realized my mistake. The last song before "Quit" you gave an eight and I misread it. Lemme correct it right now.

at Jessica. Mandy's album was the worst of them all.

Not sad to see any of these go.
Most of these were around a 5.

Soda Pop is the best song out, I think. Either way I'm not attached to it. Great eliminations so far.

"I Can, I Will" was actually one of Jessica's better songs. That's not saying a WHOLE lot, but it's a cute bop. Surely there's some trash from the other three albums that needs to be dumped.

I think I gave Jessica a few more ones than this massacre gave us. Let's get those out before we move onto the better albums.

It's fine. Everything still worked out, and you can participate. Nothing against you commenting. The more, the merrier.

#44-42: Aren't we missing a girl?
So far, Christina has only had one song down, while the rest have lost, at least, 2 songs now.
Quote:

"E-Mail My Heart"
AVG: 5.5
Highest score: 10 [supaspaz]
Lowest score: 1 [Kool_Aid_King]
This is the lowest score I gave any of the songs. I'm sorry, there's bad and then there's just god-awful. I mean, first can we talk about the title. "E-mail My Heart"? Seriously, are we e-mailing messages to others' hearts? The song itself is so slow and solemn, about a break-up that went bad and she wants the guy that broke up with her to e-mail her a message. Maybe back then this was cute, but this is just sad to think about. There is nothing personal about an e-mail unless it's twenty pages long, and that's forty pages written! So, basically, this is someone shallow asking for a shallow-ass "It's okay, baby, we can work it out" PM. Britney + ballad = not a good sign... ever.
My score: 3.

"Lock Me In Your Heart"
AVG: 5.53
Highest score: 9 [Passion4MyMusic & ClassicMainstream]
Lowest score: 2 [Rolland]
"Mandy! Mandy! The sound of your voice is sweet as candy!"
I should've known what I was prepared for when I heard that. I almost fell out of my chair when I first heard that. Again, corny lyrics, and corny key-change. Uh, and I don't what that guy was hearing, her voice is as soft as a pillow, but sweet...
My score: 5.

"Final Heartbreak"
AVG: 5.65
Highest score: 8.5 [Luigi]
Lowest score: 1 [Strangergab]
This is actually my lowest rated Jessica song. I'm sorry, but beyond the corny lyrics, the overdone pop beat, and the unnecessary key-change, there is absolutely no depth into this song. I hope this is my final heartbreak, because I was almost heartbroken listening to this. It really is heartbreaking hearing great voice be reduced to lackluster songs like this.
My score: 4.

"E-Mail My Heart" is a camp classic. If you don't take it so seriously, you will be blown away by its staggering beauty.
You all definitely got it wrong with "Final Heartbreak." It's the third-best track on Sweet Kisses.
I used to love "Lock Me In Your Heart," but it doesn't really do it for me anymore. Everything about the song could use more oomph.

Christina's album was a bit ahead of it's time (at the time). Pop with lots of R&B influence. I'm glad she's not leaving early.
