gold is a hot platinum track!! 
dementia was the biggest letdown, i'm coming after you is kinda boring! 
love 4/6 songs i have heard yet!!

I LOVEEEE!!!!!!!: gold, embers, silhuette, take it all away  , bombshell blonde 
great songs: DAD, shooting star, good time, metropolis!
i love the album, it sounds fresh, progressive and so owl city!! i m back in love with adam young!!

yeah, I love the album too. it's good his sound is changing, if he made another album just like his others it would be nothing special, because we've already heard it before.
the only song I don't like after three listens of the album is ICAY. BB, DAD and GT are the best.

What are the essentials from this album? Which songs should I go out of my way and buy?

ocean eyes was perfection and i loved his sound in it, but i like that he's trying new things ..!! 
he might go back to ocean eyes after a couple albums, but till then TMS has me! i love the songs, the production! his voice has certainly gotten a lot better and stronger!!  the album was worth the wait tbh!
and i know, ICAY is the worst one!

i would suggest bombshell blonde! its a necessity! the other would be gold, silhuette, DAD and take it all away!

I still use Sky Sailing. Adam's acoustic side is just as fun and bubbly as his pop side. I just love how diverse he is, musically.

I'd say Silhouette is #1 must-listen. Metropolis, Bombshell Blonde, Dreams and Disasters, Dementia, Gold are also standouts. But tbh, I'd recommend the whole album. Everything sounds pretty amazing.

i dont know, i dint like it one bit!  it might still grow on me, all my reviews are based on my first listen! 
and i dont still use sky sailing, but i would buy the next album, if he decides to continue it! 
i loved his acoustic sound too, it fits his voice !

Although I'm still not as impressed by this as Ocean Eyes/Maybe I'm Dreaming, I'm liking it a little more.
My favourites are Bombshell Blonde, I'm Coming After You, Silhouette, Metropolis and Speed of Love. The Shooting Star EP disappointed me. I think the songs on there are 4 of the worst on the album 
Hopefully this holds up better than ATBAB.
