Sometimes, like California Gurls is clearly a summer anthem, and Hummingbird Heartbeat would slay Spring/Summer. Some songs are sturctured to fit a season. Summer i feel is always hard core party party party music, like last year was Give Me Everything, Party Rock Anthen, and Last Friday Night. The Fall usually has heart mushy songs like The One That Got Away and It Will Rain. And for me songs that are darker sound perfect in the Winter like E.T., Bad Romance, Empire State of Mind. But for Spring i dont really have a strong feel or connection between songs, i feel like anything can smash then tbh. This prob makes no sense but oh well

With all said i feel like Wide Awake can smash now

But look at Tik Tok, Just Dance, Poker Face, Bad Romance, We R Who We R, Sexy and I Know It, We found Love, Firework, ect. All dance songs that were very successful during winter.

Rolling In the Deep was a breakup anthem that thrived in the summer.

She did say that will be the last part of a music video, but not neccesarily Wide Awake.

Dance music is always successful. However, slow songs are never successful in the summer because it's always party-oriented. Rolling in the Deep had already established a huge following by May and it was also a lot faster/upbeat.

Katy could smash right now but the song is going to take at least a month to get popular and by then the radio will only be playing the usual summer party anthems.

Wide Awake will probably do well but a number one is REALY unrealistic. I hope it happens though.
