On the other hand, when I look at the consistently rising tour numbers of someone like Gaga, I can't help but to notice she's gonna be trouble for all the female popstars. Including the ones that came years before her like Rihanna and Britney.

Are you kidding me? She had the most commercially successful era she's ever had. She's still shelling out #1 singles where most people who have been in the game as long as she has can barely get a spot on radio.
You are just looking at one specific thing and comparing apples to oranges.
Look at Beyoncé. She's not as strong in touring as Madonna or Michael, but people still see her as one of the all-time greatest entertainers, consistently comparing her to them. Her impact on pop culture is almost unequivocal. She's built a brand as massive as any "pop star" out right now... but both times I've seen her in tour, the arena was nowhere near full.
It doesn't mean a damn thing.
Rihanna has never had a number one album.
Christina had a flop era.
Shakira sometimes struggles in the US...
but you can't belittle their other accomplishments just because they are lacking in a specific era.
Gaga is huge right now, but it's only fair to compare her to Britney when she was huge. We have no way of predicting Gaga's success, but from the looks of where her career is now and how inconsistent she CAN be (though it's not usual), I highly doubt she'll even be around for a full decade.
As I said time and time again, the things Gaga is popular for, are hot right now... Fashion.
In music, she's not doing anything that hasn't been done by her contemporaries.
Her performances aren't particularly memorable outside one or two.
Her political stances have been covered by many female artists before her.
...and I'm not throwing shade. It's the true tea.
