How so very sad of some of you. Only a heartless human being would "lose respect" for someone after they did what they could to inspire and help kids from all over the world. Do you even understand where "Born This Way" came from? It came from months and months of talking to fans and sharing stories about being beaten up, abused, made fun of, ostracized, and even kicked out. Gaga heard the stories from all of her fans, and instead of saying to herself, "I want to make an album that will rock the charts," she said, "I want to make an album that will help people." How are you going to lose respect for someone because of that? Why do some of you live in a world where because you don't get picked on, other people don't matter? Why do you think that a popstar has to make music about dancing and partying instead of music that has meaning to some people? I hope some of you open your eyes and realize that the world does not revolve around you and your selfish mindset.

All of that is completely idiotic and subjective. You shouldn't lose respect for someone because you didn't like their music. Respect is about who the person is, not what they create.

I respect her less AS AN ARTIST. that's what the poll says.
Gaga as a person has been the same I guess, she's more annoying now with all the gay, bulimic, bullying stuff though

But to her fans, yes, she is making the world a better place. So to fault her for that is just...

Dear Lord.
The album was ‘The Fame Monster, Pt. II,’ except nowhere nearly as good. It was a safe record designed to be a commercial success as well as please critics, but unpredictably underperformed in both aspects. The songs weren’t different for Gaga, let alone different in general. ‘Judas’ was hyped as the next ‘Poker Face’/‘Bad Romance,’ ‘You And I’ is a better and more commercial ‘Speechless,’ and would you honestly call ‘Born This Way’ and ‘The Edge Of Glory’ risky? ‘Marry The Night’ is typical Gaga as well. It even has her signature hook.

Same here. I completely stopped respecting her as a person when she started wearing the prosthetic facial and shoulder horns. The pits.

Were talking about the lyrical content+the messages, not the production which is similar because almost the same group of people produces her albums.. I only agree with Judas being BR 2.0 but the rest was completely different than what she has done before.

Yes. What sounds like The Edge of Glory these days? It's by far her best song, not to mention being deeply personal

To a certain extent, I agree with this. Come to think of it, the singles were all still very commercial. They all sound like hits to me, even if they didn't all smash. Everyone acts as if the whole 'Born This Way' era was a massive risk and an album that no one understood, when really it wasn't that far off from what she was doing before.

Exactly; it's an evolution, not some wild, desperate-to-be-edgy, out-there-no-longer-fun oddity.
Just because people want her to go back to when she was a dumb blonde who didn't appear to have any creative input into her generic dance music, doesn't mean Born This Way wasn't an artistic triumph.

It’s still commercial pop music.
No sort of in-depth analysis claiming how the songs and the videos are actually about her troubled life will change that.
