And the queen doesnt just ignore Japan and just stay away. She actually helped them with the Pray for Japan Wristbands, she came there to perform and showed her support the Japan's tourism. Most important thing, the queen received a ROSE from Japan's Prime Minister with the words "Special thanks - Your Little Monster - Naoto Kan".

Could your fave? Shes not scared of coming there, she doesnt cancel her shows or push everything back til 2012.

I'm just so weirded out by the whole Japan loves Avril kind of thingy. I've been visiting Japan for lengthy periods of time since 2006 and I remember hearing much about her in 07. 08, 09, 10 I can't say I ever saw mention of her, on TV, radio, even the music stores have had mediocre promotion (the cds kinda just sit in a regular shelf).

I've seen Bieber promoted much more heavier than Avril. I've heard his music in commercials, stores, EVERY FRICKIN WHERE. Don't get me started on Gaga. o_O

I'm having a laugh courtesy of the Avril stans who keep retorting "YOU WILL DEAL" instead of acknowledging the fact that the article IS outdated and Gaga HAS passed Avril. Gosh, even disputing Oricon? Can we say grasping at straws?

Oh my god -- even with the facts, people still dispute that Avril is still well loved in Japan? If you guys hadn't told me about her sales, I woulda thought she was irrelevant there. Even my native Japanese fiance hasn't heard diddly about her since TBDT.

I didn't mean GaGa is the only Caucasian queen in Jap or anything.. its not even important to be called queen or anything at all. Its not even official. I just cant @ the Avril delusionals who always say that Avril is the only one there. Avril is still the biggest international act of the last decade. Anyway, Avril is still doing moderately in Malaysia, which is neighbor of Singapore. Gaga is pretty much "dying" here because BTW was editted, Judas was banned. But anyway TEOG is smashing hard here. Avril's Smile is doing decently too. So i don't mind there are two queen, but looking from perspective of album sales, Gaga still has the lead.
