I just think it's poor single choices that won't have any sort of effect on the album's outcome. Beyonce still has over a month. Gaga's fanbase is going to blow up every retail outlet. I don't think she'll hit a mil, but I think 500k is likely.

Yeah, GaGa is still gonna do like 600k+ first week. It wouldn't even shock me if she did over 800k.

TF/TFM era was huge and she's established a massive fanbase that will buy this thing the second it hit stores. If she doesn't score a big hit though, things will go down fast.

Beyonce won't do more than 400k regardless of whether she gets a smash or not. IASF had 2 smashes, tons of promo, holiday season, and following a hit album and it "only" sold 482k. Sales suck in the summertime, so the new one won't do huge numbers.

I think you underestimated GaGa. Even she's having some backlash now, she can still make her album opening sales huge. Public is CURIOUS and her fans base is DYING to hear the album. Together, they will make it huge.

Beyonce's song is going to pick up soon. It's increasing airplay everyday and z100 is going to put it back into top rotation pretty soon so every station on the east coast will likely follow suit.

When people talk about how Judas has underperformed, I think it stems from the buzz around the single its first week of release. The fact that Billboard wrote an article saying it was in competition for the top spot. The fact that it reached the top spot so quickly. While, I would never ever consider this song a flop. At this point, it will go down as one of Gaga's least successful singles if it continues to perform like it has up until now, which is why I think this article mentions that the song has had a disappointing performance, and it has. People expected this song to do way better. I, who don't even like the song or Gaga that much, expected more out of this song. So, while it's not the end of the world for Gaga at all. I think this song proves that not everything she touches is going to turn to gold. We haven't seen a flop single from her yet, so Judas is the closest we get to that with Gaga.

Also, a number 10 position for a second single off one of the most highly anticipated albums this year is not something to brag about.

Beyonce is pretty much flopping right now. Lady GaGa is doing ok. She hasn't flop at all. Her song Judas is not doing great, is doing ok, but is not flopping.
