One of the reson why I hate the fact that Bey seems to push her dance singles more.
The only one that can be considered as good as Bey when it comes to being a Vocalist is Kelly Clarkson. And I like X.

I can't at people citing a RollingStone article as definitive evidence that Christina has the better voice, lol. That's one author's OPINION! (And one who clearly knows very little about vocal power & control.)

Beyonce is a better vocalist, Christina can't control her voice and she try's to much. Let Christina walk across the stage and see if she can hit those high notes which she can't her voice is all over the place you don't need to over sing a song that doesn't need to be over sung like she does on alot of her uptempo records and some of her ballds she over sings and just because your loud and sound like your screaming doesn't make you a great vocalist Christina doesn't know how to use her voice she has no control all she's doing is damaging her voice, Beyonce is by far the better Vocalist she knows how to make her voice fit for a type of song if needs POWER she'll give to you if it calls for her voice to be soft and light she can give it to you etc

Actually that's not true, it was based on votes made by many people of the music industry, including artists, critics, etc.

Christina WILL NEVER EVER be a Better vocalist than bey. Beyonce WOULD never just stop singing in the middle of a performance to let her back up singer finish notes she can NO longer hit. A REAL vocalist would change the song to fit their voice. Clearly Christina lacks the musicality to do such a thing, just listen to her ad libs. Her ad libs 9/10 don't fit the musicality of the given song she's singing.


Bey Gives you soul, Power, Control, and restraint all in One Performance. Which should be a Requirement for ALL vocalists.

GET INTO THAT DELIVERY! That Control, That Restraint. Beyonce can work her songs to fit a certain setting another thing Christina Lacks.

And this what bey sounds like even when her voice is overworked, tired. Let's Not. Christina COULDN'T Fathom Dewing IT!

Mariah is ranked #79 on that poll while Janis "Caterwaul" Joplin is #28.



I also take issue with the fact that there are virtually no country singers represented by that list. How can you have a list of the greatest singers in music without including country artists? The country genre has hosts of amazing singers. The females especially possess some of the greatest pipes in modern music in terms of range and power. Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Leann Rimes, Trisha Yearwood, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Nettles - all are women with absolutely jaw-dropping multi-octave vocals and they are criminally ignored by that list.

So yeah, I hardly think this RollingStone list is definitive.

Bono is one of the best and most respected band vocalists. And I love U2's songs. So I wouldn't mind him being ahead of Christina on the list. Plus that greatest vocalists list isn't all about power vocals. But I think it's now time to revise that. There should be some additions like Beyonce and Barbra but Christina and Mariah should definitely be retained.
