It would have been nice if you made that comment first instead of just saying you're waiting on their review (PF is known to dislike anything Britney, except for maybe a couple of surprises here and there), so it is SAFE to expect and assume they will trash the album. We also know they prefer your fave over my fave.
I've claimed several times on several threads that I quite like the album. That's your fault for not doing your research before attempted dragging.
They got two things right, Britney is an avant-gardist and she usually is ahead of the typical pop music curve. Secondly she is very adventurous musically. She almost always tries anything once. That's one thing I have loved about her she always seems ready to experiment with all different kind of musical influences.
Question: Didn't Pitchfork praise Blackout? I'm not that concerned for their review. Fatale is merely the bright-pop inversion of Blackout. It's a different extreme of a similar concept.
Metacritic isn't accurate. They leave out a lot of publications. I mean OIDIA her most critically-acclaimed album and Circus better received than Blackout?
I agree, first impressions are not very good. It is better to see Year end and Decade end critic lists for more accuracy

Hold It Against Me is her best shot at that IMO. It's her best vocal off the album, I think. She should get at least a nomination, for that category. She won't win. But i'm tired of them snubbing her nominations seriously. It all depends on what Jive submits. They should definitely be smarter about their submissions this go around.
