The only other artist who had a "widely televised performance at the AMA's" who is Top 10 on the iTunes Albums is Bruno, whose album came out last week.

She choosed to do what she wanted and believed in, which happen to be something that aliened the general public with it's.. "specific" interests. And I more then respect that. She has a pretty big following anyway, she'll be more then fine.

She's doing what she wants on her own time, and that's the most authentic thing she could possibly do. I respect her decisions, and we got her best overall album, Joanne, out of it.

I think she had a burnout early in her career. That constant need to one-up herself...walking out of hotels dressed like shower curtains and ****...anyone could have told you that that was just not sustainable long-term.

There wasn't organic growth, there was "throw everything at the wall and see what sticks".

What made Gaga cool back in 2008 is the fact that she hit the nail-on-the-head with what was popular. Electronic dance-pop. 80s-inspired, futuristic fashion. Square sunglasses. Blazers. Wet leggings. She was cool. And she said "it's ok to like stuff that's popular. Don't be pretentious about it."

Now she's making music that the GP isn't demanding. Her fans love it because she's staying true to herself. And it's true. Say what you want, but 'Joanne' is so authentic. It seems like who she really is. You can hear/see the 'Red and Blue' Stefani on it. It has artistic integrity. The only problem is, it's not current and it's not what anyone wants. Her die-hard stans will say "well I LOVE this sort of music" but the fact of the matter is, if Katy Perry released 'Joanne' they would undeniably brand it "the worst pop album of all time."

What's popular right now? Tropical house (Cheerleader, Cheap Thrills, What Do You Mean?, Trust Nobody). What's Gaga releasing? 70s country music.

If her album didn't re-enter the top 10 on iTunes barley a month after release and after a big televised performance that would be very concerning. Anyways almost everyone who preformed had albums that had been out for more than 6 months no?

She isn't catering to Pop radio and I don't know why her haters so desperately want her to. She's doing what she wants at this point, has more respect for her talent than ever and seems to be very happy with the stuff she's making.
