But I hope so. I'm just saying that it's clearly not the kind of instant ear candy song that smashes out the gate...it's the kind of song that takes some time to become a hit if it ends up doing well.
I've seen this countless times before with songs. Mr. Know It All by my other fave, for instance....reached like #4 on iTunes, dropped pretty fast, debuted at #14 on the Hot 100. Most people's reactions on forums and stuff were very lukewarm at the beginning, saying it wasn't what they expected, it wasn't that good, it would flop, etc. It was kinda dropping and not being picked up that much on radio, and her promo at the beginning consisted of radio interviews and a couple of night show performances. As more gradual promo come, it picked up on radio very slowly, stabilized, ended up having longevity and making it to the Top 10.
Just saying, it's ridiculous to call it for a song when it's been out a week. You never know what will happen.
