'Congratulations'
by MGMT |
 | Release date: April 13th, 2010
MGMT came back this 2010 once again with their psychedelic pop style. I haven't heard their previous albums, but there aren't songs in this album that can be over "Time To Pretend" or even "Electric Feel", hits from their previous album.
There aren't many highlights in this album. Despite of being the longest track, "Siberian Breaks" is my favorite from the album.
Favourite Tracks:
01. Siberian Breaks
02. It's Working
03. Flash Delirium
04. Brian Eno
05. Congratulations |

'Mt. Desolation'
by Mt. Desolation |
 | Release date: October 18th, 2010
Mt. Desolation is a project which involves many artists from different bands, like Keane, The Killers, Mumford & Sons and Noah & The Whale.
As some of you might imagine, I wanted to listen the album because two (or I'd say one) of the members of Keane took part in this project: Tim Rice-Oxley and Jesse Quin. I love Tim's voice in the songs of this album.
Although the kind of music they do is Alt-country, I dared to listen to it (I'm not into this kind of music at all). And I have to say that I really enjoyed it. There was a moment that I didn't even remembered that I was listening a country-music album.
The best track on the album, "Annie Ford" reminds me to a Keane song, lol. But it is still great.
Favourite Tracks:
01. Annie Ford
02. State Of Our Affairs
03. Departure
04. Bridal Gown
05. Bitter Pill |

'Head First'
by Goldfrapp |
 | Release date: March 19th, 2010
Moving to #18 we find Goldfrapp's latest album. When I first listened to "Rocket", which is an amazing track I wanted to listen the whole album.
Although the album has only 9 songs, most of them are great. This is one of the firsts albums that I couldn't decide at first my favorite top 5 tracks.
Favourite Tracks:
01. Head First
02. I Wanna Life
03. Rocket
04. Alive
05. Dreaming |

'Contra'
by Vampire Weekend |
 | Release date: January 11th, 2010
I remember that this was the first album that I listened to in this 2010. It was the one that I heard when I had nothing else to play on my computer, lol.
It has many great tracks. But any of them can overcome my favorite song from their previous album, "Oxford Comma".
Favourite Tracks:
01. Cousins
02. Blue Sky
03. Giving Up The Gun
04. Holiday
05. Run |

'Night Train [EP]'
by Keane |
 | Release date: May 10th, 2010
My favourite band couldn't miss top 30 albums, even without releasing an album this year, just an EP!
Before listening the EP, I didn't like the idea of including K'naan in the songs, but after all I changed my mind. This EP has only 8 songs, but with a great variety of them, from covers and samples to collaborations with K'naan, unreleased old songs and instrumental songs. All in one simple EP.
At the end of the day, Keane convinced me once again with this new material, especially with the song which Tim is on vocals, "Your Song"; it's simply awesome!
I am really looking forward to their new material in 2011!
Favourite Tracks:
01. Your Love
02. Stop For A Minute (featuring K'naan)
03. My Shadow
04. Back In Time
05. Looking Back (featuring K'naan) |

'Soldier Of Love'
by Sade |
 | Release date: February 5th, 2010
This is one of those albums that you hear when you want to relax, or that you hear background in a shop, lol.
She has a great voice. The album has many great songs, but personally I have to say that some songs are so boring that I need to skip them before I fell asleep (OK, I'm exaggerating a bit).
Favourite Tracks:
01. The Moon And The Sky
02. Soldier Of Love
03. In Another Time |

'Love Gone'
by Maxi Trusso |
 | Release date: December 2010
Maxi Trusso is an argentinian musician who lived in Europe almost all his life. I knew him because he makes a collaboration with the argentinian band Poncho. The album is good, but I have to say that I didn't pay a lot of attention to it, because he uses auto-tune in all his songs, so he must have an horrible voice when he performs live, lol.
Favourite Tracks:
01. Fiesta
02. Upset
03. Fragment Of Life |
