I'm not stupid and I'm not ignorant. I understand why representation is important. But there was representation aplenty in the movie... It's not something that should be forced on people who have to make creative decisions on actors and actresses to such a ridiculous degree. Who knows how many asian actors and actresses even tried out for the parts they are complaining about.

Spare us. I saw the movie too and the Asian characters are relegated to the background like they usually are. If you really did understand the important of representation, you wouldn't using this movie as an example. It's like "diversity." You ask people about it and they talk about how great it is, but you can ask them for examples, they best thing they can do is is mention a Thai take out place they tried out and doing yoga.
It's also amusing that you're complaining about "whining about stupid **** like this" when that's exactly what you're doing. I don't see how any logical person wouldn't see anything wrong with the regular practice of taking Asian characters and erasing them from the media. It's not something new. Essentially, those people are "whining" with valid complaints while you're just complaining about nothing.
Finally, that bit in bold was my favorite part of your post. It's such a great and progressive to thing to say, but do you really think Asian actors was considered for Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain or Kristen Wigg's roles? With your logic, they really were, but they're not. And don't try "there aren't enough" angle.
