I'm still impressed with Luv and RWU though so...eh...who knows. Janet is sticking to a very tired formula I think. She is at a point in her career now where she needs to either move ahead or step aside. She promised that she would be venturing into some new areas with this album though.

LMAO, Rolling Stone have been giving 3-3.5 stars A LOT lately. Its like their favorite numbers.
Anyways I agree with you 100%. I'm very loving "luv" and "Rock with you", and "feedback". But she is still doing the I'm 42 years old, but I can still be naughty like a 20 year old.
I've also kind of noticed, didn't "call On Me" peak at #25 with big downloads? Now downloads are larger than ever yet "feedback" has only peaked at #51 and now declining in airplay and digital sales? I think that's a HUGE sign that people just don't care about Janet anymore. Because "Feedback" is a way better song than "COM" by far, and its underperforming. Also the hype around this album is pretty low compared to "20YO" and "DJ". IDJ was supposed to be helping her career be revived, yet, they're using the formula of big name and hot song, but its not working for her. Madonna was able to do it with "Hung Up". Not a lot of physical promotion when it came out, yet it did good. "Gimme More" had no promotion, yet, people care so much about hearing it, it went straight to #1 on iTunes when it was available for download. But people hear Janet's name and it can't get past #40?
I'm not hating by any means, cause i do like Janet. I can't continue to emphasize enough how I have and love "Design of A Decade", "Velvet Rope", "All For You", and "Damita Jo". But with "20YO" I didn't like from d/l so I didn't buy it, but I'm more excited for this album just from the simple fact that other listeners enjoyed it, not the critics. I'm not a very critical person, I can listen to anything. I fear this album will BOMB big time, especially with the sales decline, probably will sell a little over 500k in the end? But if its a good album, I could care less about the success. The only thing the success has to do with it is will she be dropped by IDJ and no one will want her anymore.
