You're obviously not one of the deluded ones so don't take offense.
I'm just saying it's stupid to assume a whole fanbase is mentally disturbed just by the behavior of some individuals. And the user who said that IS a Gaga stan so that makes it even more ironic.
And thanks
I'm not holding Gaga entirely responsible for future hypothetical suicides, but I'm saying that writing a song like this isn't without risk
Assuming you've never had issues with mental illness, would you kill/harm yourself just because you heard a song that talked about suicide? It's not something I could imagine any sane person doing.
Even if someone did commit suicide after listening to the song, Lady Gaga should not be held responsible. A singer having a fanbase that has become somewhat known for several of its members killing themselves doesn't really seem like enough to constitute a type of "foreseeable harm" (using that loosely here), especially when you factor in that there are no studies (that I'm aware of!) that prove a connection between violence in music and violence in reality.
The song is about contemplating suicide indeed, but it's not that much of a big deal. Almost every artist has written a depressive song touching this topic at some point in their carrers.
I'm not going to read pages and pages of the reaching and obsessive anti-Gaga comments of which this thread is undoubtedly fulfilled with as of now.
Well, we have to be prepared for anything guys, I mean, she's the most relevant star so, whatever she says, sings or make, will make controversy. This only confirms her power
