Bitch they're dreads like who the hell cares. Who does she think she is lol, you can't force anybody to change their hair. I hate seeing stuff like this because they think they are "solving" a problem but that little white boy's hair is nothing compared to what she could be doing. If she's so for her culture there are tons of other things she could doing for her community besides wasting time with some white boy with dreads.
I'm so on the fence about cultural appropriation, but I'm inclined to go with the guy here.
How far do we take it? Should she only wear clothes lending from her traditional culture and made by only those of her race? Globalisation does little to preserve cultures - it's near pointless these days - as long as we remember to respect and uplift others, no matter their origin.
This was annoying and embarrassing on the black woman's part. White people can wear dreads, who the f*ck cares honestly. So much entitlement in telling people what they can and cant do. If we were to scream cultural appropriation at everything there will be a lot so many of us can't do and so many hairstyles we shouldn't wear and the world would be incredibly boring. Is she going to yell at black people who wear mohawks too? And dreadlocks was present in many cultures, black people dont have ownership to them.

Right? I have had cornrows (which are like then times more "black culture" than dreads) two times and people never said such things to me. Even for the (black) woman that made them to me was the most normal thing.
I agree that cultural appropriate is a problem, but this girl had no right to harass him like that or put her hands on him. She could have offered to have a discussion with him about this and offer to express her opinion to him, but she instead was just looking for a fight.

I didn't say it was bad, but if this girl thinks a white guy having dreadlocks is cultural appropriation then by her logic black girls do the same thing when they straighten their hair and wear straight weaves of any color. No black person in the world has naturally straight hair. And I know she doesn't attack them so she needs to STFU
