VII will not be remade, its too big (game world) and the mature themes would need to be left in. Since it would have voice acting i doubt it would go unedited. It got away with the things it did due to the lego characters.
The 36th issue of Shueisha's Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday that the Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster game for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita systems will feature approximately 60 remixed music tracks of Nobuo Uematsu's original Final Fantasy X soundtrack, and Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi's original Final Fantasy X-2 soundtrack. In addition, the magazine is also confirming that both the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions of the games will feature trophy support.
