It fit in with the birth theme. It was technically a "womb," according to the designer.
But anyway, like I said, the vessel was just too far. Lady Gaga should have toned it down and madeout with Madonna as she entered the red carpet, in order to keep it simple, less flashy, and bring purpose along with her actions.

Ah, negative. You are not allowed to unfairly accuse the public of taking Gaga seriously when Gaga mentions that her meat dress symbolizes the repeal of "don't ask, don't tell" and that her egg was "giving birth to a new generation." Oh, so Gaga can take her "performance art" seriously and give these, in my opinion, contrived meanings behind them, but we are not allowed to take her seriously? We're just supposed to hear Gaga explain her concepts with depth and seriousness, but when we see them, we're supposed to say to ourselves, "Oh, that's just Gaga being silly." That's a contradiction, beau.

A) I'm allowed to do WHATEVER I like & please
B) I never said to NOT take her seriously, but you all are acting as if what GaGa says and does about her performances are like changes to the Constitution. Everyone gets that you don't agree with her vision, but it's unfair to discredit her and say that it's contrived. It's what she believes and it's the message that she's putting out there. When I say everyone's taking it too seriously, I mean that everyone is treating her reasoning behind the egg & performance like it's some kind of new way of life that she wants everyone to live by. It's just her vision, that's it. You either agree or you don't agree, and leave it at that.
C) My point is that none of this stuff is meant to be taken as Bible scripture. It's meant to be taken seriously, but to the extent that most of you guys who disagree with it are taking it.

I see, but the thing is that it would be fine if she did that on stage, but she had to cross the red carpet in that thing.
Artist or the other thing people call her?

Ryan Seacrest called it one of the most interesting and creative entrances on the red carpet ever. E! News loved it - they always cover the red carpet. Others did not and that's fine - art is meant to be controversial. It was artistic, purposeful, and it was attention whoring. It doesn't have to be mutually exclusive.
And why are you even starting? I responded to Rico because I take him seriously and he's a level-headed Britney stan. Give it a rest

She wanted to be "birthed" onstage. I can understand some people thinking it's dumb or attention-getting, but Britney Spears' entire career has been an endless parade of stunts, so when I said "some people," Britney stans are not who I meant.

I'm glad, talk to someone in a egg in the middle of the red carpet is rather... disturbing

Direct your post at me if you're going to drop shade. And yeah, I do believe that. It fit in perfectly with the theme of the song - why is that so ****ing hard for people to grasp? It wasn't like the meat dress where she just tacked on a meaning to it in order to cover her attention whoring.
I worry about ATRL sometimes because they have to have things spelled out to them that shouldn't have to be.

There is nothing wrong with what Bieber said. He thinks it's weird. He hasn't done weird or attention-seeking things...not that I can think of.
There is something wrong with Britney stans talking about doing things for attention. See my previous post for the explanation.

I think that I agree with him. Well, to be realistic, her dresses don't impress me much as the old ones.
