Because streaming gets bigger every year, if BR were released last year and had the same impact and success its streams would be 800M. The fact that a 2009 video can get to 600 is incredible. If Gaga releases a smash and it blows up she will get up there, streaming wasn't as huge when Gaga first came out but now its massive.

If it's not Gaga and her streams, it's Rihanna and her albums, Beyoncé and her singles, Katy Perry and her lack of awards, and whatever nonsense you'll find to discredit these artists. Do you ever get ****ing tired? They're all worth over $100 million.

Bad Romance was the most watched video on youtube, most watched video last decade, etc..

I wouldn't agree that Gaga is a weak streaming artist. She is very strong. It is true though that she has been overtaken by other artists in recent years though, that does not make her weak, merely others are stronger. Youtube and vevo are growing all the time, in 5 years from now, they will be even bigger. Gaga's biggest hits merely were at a time when youtube was not as big. Apart from Applause, she hasn't really had any big hits with music videos in the last 3 years or so. If her next album has a big hit or two (with MV) then she could get another video with massive views.

Things can change with one era. Taylor is now a monster on youtube since she went Pop and had global hits in Shake It Off and Blank Space. I always thought that having a MV with 200 million views like IKYWT was really good for her, and yet in 1989 era she has 2 music videos that are already at least 600 million views each after just a few months and still growing. A year ago, I would never have imagined that to be possible.

Gaga only needs a couple of big global hits with interesting music videos and she could emulate Bad Romance in getting 600 millon views per video.

Gaga was a streaming monster back in 2009-2011, it's just that she couldn't keep up with the changing time. The reason her video views are less then the other pop girls is because she peaked before and has been declining ever since. Recurrent video plays are what the other girls have above her because the video views for Gaga videos were huge during the years they were released.

Not being under a lot of "suggested videos" on YouTube has a lot to do with it too. You go to a Katy Perry video and you get suggested videos from Meghan, Taylor, Rihanna, etc. Gaga is under less viewed videos like Britney and Madonna. at least I've always seen it like that.

And really, look at how many videos are over 500 million or 600 million, something very uncommon for 2010 video views.

I mean, Gaga was at one point the most liked on FB, most followed on Twitter, some of her tweets were among the most favorited/retweeted, most viewed on YouTube, most subscribers, had the most viewed video ever, etc etc
I remember her reaching 1 million subscribers was absolutely huge.
