LOL, you didn't catch the pun. I don't think she can sing worth **** so I would NEVER listen to anything considered a ballad from her. Don't Tell Me is slow enough so I call it a ballad. Get it?
Sometimes when I write on messageboards, I'm not very clear due to me having a conversation in my head and me knowing exactly what I mean. I forget that others clearly don't have a clue since they don't know my outlook. I'm going to work on that.
OK. Then I don't appreciate that.
If that means you'll write here more often, I'm all for it.
Ugh ATRL is so anti-Beatles. But anti-Beatles without knowing **** about them. That's the worst kind of anti-Beatle, like those self-righteous parents from the 1960s.

I legit don't think they understand their impact. Like, they just don't get it.
Probably because popular music has become so fractured.

I think it's cuz some pop fans just lump them in with other "dad rock" acts and go "no thanks" when really they're the most influential pop act ever.
I've never actively listened to the Beatles, but when I look at their catalogue it always blows my mind how many of their songs I know. Perfect, timeless melodies and it seemed like their well of talent could never run dry. I wish I could say Madonna's oeuvre was in the same league but it's not. Everything post-Immaculate Collection was hit and miss sadly.
I was always hot and cold with Madonna, but I do love her early work. It's sad that most people of our generation don't appreciate what she's accomplished due to her image in the media, and also due to the deteriorating quality of her music over the years. I don't think her impact will truly be recognised until she dies.
!!!!!!
I think Britney Spears is the biggest loser in the history of music but I will not deny her ability to sell millions of albums and her importance to Pop Culture and today's generation of homosexuals.
