Although i don't think it really helped her image in the public. With all those faces she makes and her eyes, they still see her as a coo-coo. But whatevers, if X Factor will have a positive personal effect on her then it's all good.

In the end, Britney is still getting that paycheck. And that's all that matters. FOX is crap anyway.

not to mention the fact that they hire actors to add "drama" and "excitement" to the show. And the fact that they air so many trainwreck auditions and make fun of people. It's really not needed. What I love about the voice is that they never focus on humiliating people. Even the "bad" auditions are really not that bad.

Celebrity judges dont mean ratings. If audiences like the show/format they'll watch.

I prefer the format of X-Factor, but American audiences obviously don't. They paid the show dust last year, and will continue to do so. Doesn't matter who is judging.

The show flopped last year. Simon & Fox expected 20m viewers and it opened with 12.
After such a poor opening season the show was going to tank for season 2, so they decided to hire a celeb who is knows for bringing highest rating wherever she goes.
So season 2 opened with like 10m viewers, which is only 2m below season 1. If Britney wasn't there, it could have been 6m... so all the extra viewers are still Britney's accomplishment.
They obviously hoped for more than 10m, but Britney can only do so much.

Have you watched this week? It was scripted yes but less focus on trainwreck auditions imo.

6.7 is good. Hopefully the demos are good too.

The fact that it didn't lose a lot of viewers from last week is good. Lets hope momentum builds and ratings grow.

My issue with X Factor is the same with Idol. There doesn't need to be such a focus on the bad talent. I get why it has its purpose, but I want to see stars in the making and diamonds in the rough, not flop ass people playing it up for the cameras.
