these people don't give AF about mental health. they just use it to counter the gun agreement. we've being screaming about mental health for years and where's the legislation? what progress has been made? before now, who has brought it up on their campaign trail? A bunch of ppl sitting at the top doing nothing about something that's plagued this country for the last 3-4 years but hey "stuff happens".
yes mental health is an issue BUT the fact that getting a gun is so simple is the problem. nobody is trying to take guns away from law abiding citizens just the crazies.
I mean there was CHL class taught at my college. It was a 4 hour class and when the class was over ppl had their licenses. It's that easy. And not all states require permits to buy guns. AND majority of gun used in mass shootings were in fact purchased legally. So yes, guns are a problem in this country.
But like I said, if a bunch of 5 year olds getting shot in the face doesn't make these people flinch and do something besides "pray" and scream "mental health", nothing will.

He is somewhat right. The problem is SSRI drugs. Every mass shooting has SSRI anti-depressant medication in common. Thoughts of suicide and violence seem to be triggered by these medications but of course BigPharm does not want that news out.

Well, many people would make the argument that racism & sexism are a form of mental illness and I would not disagree with that. Bigotry and unnecessary hatred really is a sickness of the mind. Anyhow, something is really wrong when anti-depressant meds which are supposed to cure depression may cause suicide and thoughts of violence. Something needs to be done about these psychiatric meds with adverse side effects and that includes the ADD meds.

A bit more than 10% of the U.S. is on antidepressants. The most popular of those being SSRIs.

Guns on the black market are extremely expensive first of all. And who would you even talk to to get a gun? Most people wouldn't know, certainly not these kids that actually execute these shootings

The people who somehow have the connections to get a gun aren't the type that bother shooting schools. Pretty sure they're all just crazy/depressed students, and they're only able to do this because it's so easy to get a gun.

This is something people seem to really overlook. They somehow think shady gun dealers are on every corner or something, or easy to find. There's a reason mass school shootings hardly happen in other first world countries, but no, let's just keep saying banning guns wouldn't do anything.
