I don't understand why EOT wasn't pushed when RTW was over... Or why LOT wasn't sent to top 40... So many missed opportunities. This era was just a mess, tbh. I think it was a learning experience for her.

You're right.

Though I think the promo was fine, mostly it was the choice of singles. End of Time as the lead and Love on Top as the second single would have been better choices. Imagine what Love on Top would be if it was properly released and out in the market by the time it was performed at the VMAS. (Still, #1 R&B song of the year isn't so bad).

"4" underperformed, but it also help secured her legacy. It is like the "4" era actually turned her into a bigger legend and icon.

Other R&B and pop acts with bigger hits have yet to even had an iconic moment, while the "4" era had her biggest. Yes, with better management, that era could have did more. However, it was a learning experience for her, and I am sure that she learned a great deal going forward. Obviously, Matthew didn't work, and she is also too big of a legend/icon to hire a "manager" especially since her brand is to be a powerful independent woman and mogul.
