Really, you think Beyoncé which mixes Beyoncé's rapping signature over trap beats, Electronic-Rnb and Alternative was inspired by that garbage? Where was Trap in those albums? Where was the Electronic RnB in those album? Where was Indie/Alterantive in those ****** albums? Beyoncé sure hit you all hard. ![lmao](http://atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/lmao.gif)

Someone like You is pop and soul.

Because last time I checked... She's still singing about the same things, following her formula tbh.
Songs about her flaws and insecurities? Check (Flaws and All, Disappear, Scared of Lonely)
Song about genitals? Check (Kitty Kat, Ego)
Hip Hop brag track? Check (Back Up, Upgrade U, Diva)
Burlesque/Showgirl influences in videos? Check. (Naughty Girl, several live performances)
Oldschool funk and R&B influences? Check. (Blow, Rocket)
Big ballads? Check. (Irreplaceable, Listen, Halo)
This is Beyonce to me. Nothing's really changed.

Who brought it back? Rihanna. Rihanna made it popular again and everyone followed suit, including Beyonce

Let's just assume it was Rihanna who brought it back, how do you figure Beyonce followed suit when she has consistently put out R&B since 1997? Come on.

Or are you saying that Beyonce's softer side (which is actually the newer idea for Beyonce to put forth) is the image overhaul? Because if so that is nothing like GGGB's and you cannot attempt to say that GGGB owns image overhauls when countless popstars in the same year that Rihanna released also changed their image.

I know Sasha's been around since the DC days. I've seen the videos where she's all '..I feel Sasha coming'.
This isn't even about Beyonce being sassy she's always been a sassy fierce strong black women. Again like I said before Rihanna doesn't own image overhauls they happen literally all the time in pop. These two were very similar in a lot of ways and in such a short amount of time. They give me I'm a slave 4 u/ Dirrty tease.

Some are even claiming ***Flawless. That to me, that really says a lot about Beyoncé's influence.
Before there was ***Flawless (hip hop-R&B), there was Diva. Both videos are black and white. Bey knows how to connect different parts of herself.
And before they was Yoncé (electro-hip hop), there was Videophone. She even raps in the same slow way, along a weird melody. Videophone had a similar weird melody.
She has her own sound.

I'm willing to agree, but you need to list the similarities instead of just blankly stating that they exist.

There was nothing Rihanna-esque in 4 yet in Beyonce she sings songs like Drunk In Love which is very reminiscent of Rihanna. The parallels are clear take your stan goggles off and look at it objectively.

She brought what back? The music Bey has been doing all her career? The Bey's music she has been emulating all her career? Please.

Brought it back? If by "it" you mean hip hop influenced tracks, Bey never stopped performing Diva. If by "it" you mean sexual songs... Let's not act like 2009/2010 was a decade ago. Bey was still performing Videophone in 2010... That's when Rihanna started releasing her sexual songs.
Bey BEEN on that.

That song is not reminsicent of Rihanna, it's reminscent of Bey's signature sound that your fave ran away with. Don't get it twisted. Videophone, Upgrade U, Diva, Bills Bills Bills, Bug A Boo, Run The World, Countdown made the room for everything you guys think your fave "brought back". ou simply lack any musical knowledge. The very producers and writers of those songs your fave sang (ex : Pout It Up) will tell you they were inspired by Beyoncé.

Objectively, BEYONCÉ is much more of a current-R&B sound than 4 which was very throwback. Beyonce choosing to use a modern R&B style and that being credited to the influence of Rihanna though, is a subjective opinion. I find BEYONCÉ to be much more influenced by nu-R&B acts like Frank Ocean, Drake and Miguel than Rihanna. All of which where releasing music like this before TTT.

In another post though? The only similiarity between these albums is the use of The Dream and Tricky.

Countdown? Rihanna would never release a song as awful as that lol
Rihanna brought back urban sounds and fashion when dance music was popular just a few years ago. Dance music was popular when 4 was released, which is why the singles failed to catch on. So one could say Rihanna did Bey a favour and saved her era lol
Rihanna's influence is clear in both 'Bangerz' and 'Beyonce'

They will not even get your post. They can't even recognize genres. One of them said Take A Bow was not RnB, another said B'Day was reminiscent of the songs made by the Supremes back in the 80's. ![lmao](http://atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/lmao.gif) ![lmao](http://atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/lmao.gif) It should be warnable to be so muically uncultivated while being on a music's forum. Where is their fave Trap's song? Drunk In Love is a trap/Hip Hop song so where is their fave's trap/Hip Hop song?
