Now, I understand that pandering is irritating but is it really her place to call people out for their alleged insincerity concerning a cause that she's neither involved in nor affected by?

I've never seen her be outspoken about any social issue - or maybe I just don't pay enough attention - so I don't understand why this seems to bother her so much. It feels like she's ranting just for the sake of it. 'Pandering' or not, any public figure commanding the world's stage who speaks up about LGBT rights shouldn't be shamed by a person who a) is doing absolutely nothing to support the issue at hand and b) isn't subjected to homophobia in any way, shape or form. The gay community still has a long way to go and I'm not seeing Marina & the Diamonds use her fame to push the boat forward, so this seems a little out of left field.
