At the end of the day everyone knows who Céline Dion is. Even if it's just as "the girl who sang Titanic". 30 years into her career she has the best selling French album of all time, she's widely known and respected in every English speaking country, her albums are still selling and she has Vegas wrapped around her finger. She literally paved the way for several female artists, most of which all of you stan for.
I know a lot of people that has said the same and I traveled to italy, france, japan, puerto rico, mexico, germany, and venezuela and yet people in those countries have said the same sentence you commented.
So every country you visit you ask people if they have ever heard Celine Dion songs?
I personally wouldn't something so stupid. I'm not a fan of britneys new music but her music during her prime is timeless and no one can deny that. People still remember Toxic, Baby One More time, Sometimes, and Oops I Did It Again. I cant say the same for celines music.
Celine's music videos having more views than Madonna's (no shade as I know some of Madonna's videos are banned in some countries). Even more than some of Mariah's.
I guess it can be argued she's a legend for her success and her vocals even though there is absolutely nothing distinct about neither her vocals or her music.
Lol, just because Bey or Britney are more current and more trendy with teenagers, and young adults doesn't mean that you can equal your opinion to the whole population. People who love Celine and find her legendary are countless but they are doing two three jobs at the same time and are not spending time arguing on internet forums.
