Up from her #4 spot on last years top artists list, Adele has continued to captivate my attention. I'm an even bigger fan of her now than I was a year ago. Her music truly grows on you. RATING - 9.2
#2. ARIANA GRANDE
TOP TRACK - SOMETIMES
TOP ALBUM - DANGEROUS WOMAN
One of my top 2 fave artists ever is Ms Grande, down from her #1 position on last years countdown. She really did her thing this year: album, videos, songs, performances - All top notch. RATING - 9.9
Beyoncé soars up the countdown from her #8 position last year. Lemonade honestly is one of the best albums of the decade and the release was an entire event. This was truly her year. RATING - 10.0
What did you guys think of this years top artists?! The top 10 albums countdown starts tomorrow so brace yourselves
I didn't really enjoy this album THAT much. I still think Sia can do much better seeing as though there is a lot of filler however there are a few gems on the album that really make it stand out. RATING - 6.0
#9. STARBOY - THE WEEKND
TOP TRACKS - I FEEL IT COMING/SECRETS/SIDEWALKS
I had high expectations for Starboy going into it after falling in love with the title track and I was mostly impressed. Besides the few fillers, the album is pretty solid with good replay value. RATING - 7.0
#8. A'WESOME - HYUNA
TOP TRACKS - U & ME/HOW'S THIS?/MORNING GLORY
This album is filled with bop after bop after bop. U & Me is probably the best out of them all though! Not only are the tracks amazing, but the album actually flows together really well. RATING - 7.5
Since I was busy stuffing my face yesterday and messed up the schedule, I'll be revealing #4-7 albums later today.
The parent album was #4 on last years countdown. Following the 80's trend of the latter, Carly extends her slayage of throwback pop. While not as great as EMOTION, this is still a very solid EP. RATING - 7.7
#6. ANTI - RIHANNA
TOP TRACKS - CONSIDERATION/KISS IT BETTER/DESPERADO
Very much of a grower for me, ANTI is one of Rihanna's most cohesive and lyrically impressive albums to date. She merges away from pop and ventures (and conquers) r&b with her own style. RATING - 8.0
#5. GLORY - BRITNEY SPEARS
TOP TRACKS - LOVE ME DOWN/BETTER/DO YOU WANNA COME OVER?
Glory would be much higher if it weren't for tracks like Make Me..., Private Show and Clumsy. The album isn't that cohesive but the majority of tracks are good examples of perfect pop tunes. RATING - 8.2
#4. THIS IS WHAT THE TRUTH FEELS LIKE - GWEN STEFANI
TOP TRACKS - WHERE WOULD I BE?/SEND ME A PICTURE/YOU'RE MY FAVORITE
Literally the most underrated album of the entire year. I have no idea why everyone including atrl sleeps on this album. It's cohesive, has spectacular tracks and great lyrical content. The injustice is real. RATING - 9.0
Ariana keeps getting better and better, I hope her next album continues that trend
Beyonce disappointed me this year I love self-titled so much but Lemonade didn't click with me
Starboy and This Is Acting both have some cute songs
Glory and Truth in the Top 5 Send Me A Picture and Better so sooooo good
Anti and Emotion Side B are good as well
