Gunman released some sort of canister. Heard a hissing sound and gas emerged. The gunman opened fire. No evidence of additional shooters. Police responded and found the gunman in the back of the theater, near his car, with a rifle and a handgun. Another weapon found inside. Shooting went on "for some time."

50 who were hit and 14 dead. Ten dead in the theater and four died at hospitals.

The suspect was "making statements" about explosives hidden in cars in the parking lot and at his residence. Police are headed to the reference now.
