It isn't possible for them to go #1. BL's radio power is too huge, and it will probably beat them overall in sales as well.

This should go platinum with the help of Summertime Sadness. The longevity is impressive. Been charting on iTunes since its release i believe.
I just noticed Radioactive is #48 onn Ryhthmic Chart. The song is not so rhythmic
I'm not that surprised really. Rhythmic stations might be playing an edit with only the dubstep-ish parts, but really a song that big will always get played, unless it's a country song.
Songs that get airplay on Rhythmic don't have to have a particular "sound" to them (the original version). I heard "Someone Like You" on my Rhythmic station all the time (didn't it peak top 20 there?).

Yeah, Adele's songs all did well (but that's understandable, if they play Alicia Keys, etc.). They played Stay and When I Was Your Man as well, but that's because the biggest artists on the format released the songs, but piano ballads doing so well still surprised me.
Kii'ing a bit. So many people talking about how hard 1D would drop, and their drop on itunes has actually be LESS than Ariana's from the peak to now. 39% drop vs 46%.
(Going by Kwords stats page. Used BL as a baseline to calculate declines so the exact %'s may be off, but the their relationship to one another drop wise is correct)
