But like, I do agree with her. There shouldn't be a line where she can't be taken seriously as a rapper because of her skin colour or her background. That's complete hypocrisy coming from the morals of the rap/hip-hop community. And that goes both ways.
And she can't win. If she kept her mouth shut she'd get hated just as much for talking about this stuff within that community.
I get that she should use her voice to stand up for the community, but people shouldn't use her differences within the community as a way to condemn her.
What barrier has she broke though? Every female rapper has done what she has done outside the 1 & 2 spot on BB. She's breaking nothing down, white or not. Gwen and Fergie covered fun styles, fun music with a hood presence while being white a long time ago. Kim, Missy and Eve covered pop + rap hits. Nicki continued those trends in pop + rap hits.
Like just give it a rest Iggy and stop trying to be the special butterfly of hip hop.
Well Gaga, Bieber and Nicki recieved 100X the amount of hate that Iggy does, yet they didnt have the need to complain on twitter about every single article or hater that attacked them.
