This has been a doggone mess ever since Echo tore her confidence. She never released Outta My Head like she should have done. She cancelled and delayed Collide when there was absolutely no reason to.

She came back with the lukewarm Trouble and was duly paid a BIT of dust. And then they flip-flopped with the next single release as Syco does with EVERYONE. The truth has been lying under our noses this entire time, and it's called GLASSHEART.

I feel like it's too late to repair the damage for the era this time, but with this coming one....she needs to find herself. She's stuck between a rock and a hard place and it just ain't on!

It doesn't matter that there were better songs on the album, I don't think I've ever heard of a single by a big name that didn't chart in the UK top 200 at all. This is embarrassing no matter how many excuses are lined up. She DID promote even if it was just a couple of performances, thats usually enough to secure a place in the top 40.

She mentioned it when she was interviewed about the album before it was meant to be out in 2011. People were surprised. I think she was referring to Come Alive. It's a sad situation.

Carly Rae Japsen with single right behind the huge success of Call Me Maybe, Enrique Iglesias with "Finally Found You"? Both out around same time as Lovebird but spitting on Leona was more fun, I guess.

And it's not such an excuse as much as it's the fact - it wasn't played by ANY major radio network.

At the end of the day though neither of them were as big as Leona in the UK. And again Carly is CLEARLY a one-hit wonder, so that's especially not shocking.

Neither of those songs had more promo than this, and Leona is a bigger name than both. The fact that she didn't get much airplay is part of the embarrassment, and even then she really should have landed in the top 200 at the very least.

It's not the end of the world if the label doesn't treat it that way but knowing Syco, things could get messy. Still, if they were to let go Leona, I guess we won't hear a thing until the tour is over and even if they drop her they'll probably find her some other label so it appears as transfer and not like a drop.

I see your point but it's still very disappointing overall. I don't get the feeling that she'll be dropped though but even if she was it wouldn't be the worst thing. She has enough talent to be picked up elsewhere. She just needs a label that actually has her as a top priority.

Or she needs to show some initiative and gets more involved. She obviously did it while she recorded but she needs to put a team and gets very involved with promo and I'm not thinking just we'll do a couple of magazine interviews and a couple of tv interviews and that's it. I really feel they haven't used social media enough and also, this era, apart from Sun Bizz session didn't have any major Live sessions. She could land at least BBCR2 live session.

Someone mentioned hearing Glassheart instrumental in X Factor Best and Worst so I hope something's coming soon.

Yeah. They shouldn't have stalled. Trouble would've been fresh because Emeli's debut wasn't out. Then Come Alive, Sugar, and then GH. A good enough sound for her. She does need to get herself together. Modest are a mess. Maybe she can use this to get out from them? Alex did the same after she bombed. They're not great for them now.

Collide was SUCH a mess.

Not ha coming out with the dance-pop single in the same week as way stronger dance-pop singles from Pixie and surprisingly The Saturdays, alongside Example already slaying. She was lost in that tide and it was damn wrong.

Any other week (ie, launched ALONGSIDE an X Factor results show promo) and she would have brought in that £ but she and psycho were just foolish.
