Maybe she's just depressed or something. I'd like to see how she will handle the effects of this mess though. But then, I do think she is definitely one of the top female rappers of this generation.

I really don't see how that makes Nicki rude, or a joke, or insecure or anything else some of y'all are trying to throw at her. It's hip-hop. People can disagree of course but that still doesn't make Nicki any of those things regarding this statement.
In that case why didn't she say "I'm the greatest rapper"? Iggy is the only other successful female rapper right now so basically she's saying "I'm better than Iggy".
I do think Nicki is one of the greatest female rappers but I don't think she should be saying it like this.

Every time a hip hop artists makes one of these statements all pop stans throw a massive hissy fit and get emotional when they dont even understand hip hop culture
This happens on a day to day basis, rappers are constantly throwing shots at each other or claiming they are the best, whats new?

She is the most successful rapper of this decade obviously. But she isnt the queen of rap since she is using controversy, releasing pop trash (e.i starships, PnP etc) to remain relevant.
The only thing impressive of her career is pink friday, and a few selected tracks from the ''re-up''

The statement doesn't clarify whether she means "currently" or "ever". She could mean either.
Either way, there's no Iggy diss. The only person Nicki is singling out is herself, and she knows other female rappers besides Iggy exist in the current scene, too.
