LC: I am coming out with a memoir. It's going to be basically about the time I spent being signed to my previous label and there was a lot of stuff that went on and I don't want to give too much away but it's going to be about my personal relationship I had with a music executive. There's some juicy stuff in there.

I'm curious as to how this girl even got to release this EP? It's a complete Jessica Simpson rip off. Gonna Be is rip off of "What's It Gonna Be" by JS. "Heart" is a rip off of "Heart of Innocence" by JS. "Your Love" is a rip off of "For Your Love" by JS. "She Don't Love You" is a rip off of "Betcha She Dont Love You" every single track except 1 is a Jessica Simpson rip off ! And by rip off I mean complete stolen song. Lyrically and vocally. All too similar to the point it's probably not even this girl singing! She took everything from Jessica Simpson's debut Sweet Kisses and second album Irresistible and ran with it. All That Matters is a promising song that sounds vocally & significantly different from these re used Simpson tracks. Next time u release an Album Ms Cole, make sure it's all your OWN material. Not an EP bloated with a past artists' work, and one original song! Aren't there legal issues for this? Waste of money

She may only be 22, but Lucia Cole has already endured more than her share of heartache.

“There was a lot of physical abuse going on between my mom and my dad,” Cole, whose mother is Italian, and whose father is African-American, told BOSSIP. “My mom, she would try to hide what was going on, but we would catch flashes.”

“There would be a lot of tension in the house,” Cole recalled. “From five years old until about seven, it just got worse. It came to a point where I’d wake up in the middle of the night, and my mother would have bruises all over her arms.”

One day, her mother had enough, and packed her father’s bags. He left, and Cole said she hasn’t seen him since, and the loss was something that has deeply affected her.

“I think that it did have an affect on me, emotionally,” Cole said. “I think it made me somewhat vulnerable to a man’s influence. It made it harder to open up to a male figure.”

Cole’s advice to others who grew up in a situation like her own, is simple:
“Try to generate it into something positive,” she said. “Don’t dwell in your sorrow.”
