But that is a pretty low number. I think it's because the music on this album is more for US to like. The Dance sound on Exodus was more appealing to Japan.

That number is misleading. That is only a 3-day sales mark. For some stupid reason, they released the album in the middle of a week, as in sales for a weekend haven't come in yet. I wouldn't call that a flop at all.

Hey, Exodus.
I wrote my thought about boa in boa's forum after I listened to her Japanese works as you suggested.
At the same time, I checked Utada's work.

I was blown away by her Japanese songs, and her live performance (songs were from "exodus", she was wearing a red dress at her live concert) was incredibly amazing! Utada CAN definitely sing.

This is not flopped, and if this is released on Mar 14th or whenever in Japan, it has been only one week. How can you judge "flopped" in one week? Ridiculous.

She sold 470,000 copies of her Japanese language album under heavy promotion. This album received less promotion than "Exodus" did before. Again, over just three days, 77,000 copies is a great number.

Let's use common sense:

3 Days (77,000)
+ 3 More Days (If it stayed consistent) (77,000)
+ 1 Day (77,000/3 = 26,000 a day)

7 Days = Roughly 180,000

Now the album would have still underperformed, but not as bad as "someone" makes it sound. Now think about the almost no promotion, and the album being in English made to appeal to Americans. It's understandable.

I understand the concept of the album chartin 3 days, so shut up. Your 3 more days theory is stupid, albums decline in sales within the days.
I don't want utada to flop, because I like utada so much, but 77,000 for utada isn't a good number, its just my opinion, get over it. With 7 days she might sold 100,000 and no more than that, so for me is a flop, for some people no, not a big deal.
