popjustice's preview is a lot less enthusiastic than the other ones. Hmm.
Hopefully he's just being a hater and it's amazing as the other guys say
Not here for FLOPjustice.
They're hateful ****s. They're only here for gaga, and ride her **** hard while they trash every other artist. Soo I wouldn't take their reaview seriously.
A Clockwork Orange or One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, if the video is based on movie.
That Bruno Mars song, Never Close Our Eyes, from the popjustice review...here it is on youtube
Adam was just doing a interview on a San Fran station and he said he will be doing something with Queen this year. So maybe the rumors of the Olympics were true. Hopefully, it will be on their website soon.
We were a bit dubious before we listened to Adam Lambert's upcoming album, Trespassing.
His last album was good, but we didn't think it was great. His single, Better Than I Know Myself (below) is a very good pop song, but we'd heard all sorts of hype and hoo-hah about the few tracks from Trespassing Adam's publicist is showcasing, and were prepared to be a bit let down.
WELL WE WERE BIG FAT WRONG. Unless the tracks we haven't heard yet all turn out to be cack, this album is set to be an absolute pop corker.
Most of the songs are co-written (in this case meaning actually co-written, not just a couple of oohs and aahs stuck on at the last minute) by Adam, who was the executive producer of the whole thing, so it's a slogged out body of work which 'shows his light and dark sides'.
The 'light' songs, Cuckoo, Trespassing and Shady, are all instantly catchy, camp as hell, pure pop joy. The title track is a collaboration with Pharrell Williams, full of foot stomps, hand claps and - to be cheesy - FUNK.
Outlaws Of Love, we're told, is the most personal song Adam's ever written. Fans who worry that Adam's voice might not be showcased enough on the album can sleep easy as this song is all raw, tumbling emotion poured out in breathy, lingering vocals.
Adam angrily belts out his frustrations in Broken English, a track very much on the 'dark' side of the album but a bit more upbeat, with a bit of a dubby breakdown in the middle slathered with a haunting wail-type-noise.
As the professionals say.
It's unashamedly full on POP music, and we can't wait to hear the rest of the record.
We were lucky enough to have a FIRST LISTEN to the new Adam Lambert album 'Trespassing' yesterday. Set for release on March 19, the five songs we sampled left us tapping our toes under our desks, bopping at our computers and holding back gracing the office with an entire set of dance moves.
Here's what we thought in a nutshell:
The one you'll want to party to: Cuckoo
Co-written by Bonnie McKee (of Katy Perry and Britney songwriting fame) this electro-pop track has a catchy chorus, strong rhythm and makes you want to get up and dance. We had to hold ourselves back from busting into some serious moves at the desk. Perfect for a Friday nig
The one that sounds like Queen: Trespassing
Adam performed with Queen at the MTV EMAs in Belfast last year and this track, co-produced with Pharrell Williams, has got the influence of the legendary band written all over. In some of the heavy clapping parts you'd be mistaken for thinking for a second you were listening to 'We Will Rock You'. It has a heavy, distinct beat and really got under our skin.
The sexy one: Shady
Full of cool beats, heavy breathing and a slower tempo this tune, which features Sam Sparro and Nile Rogers takes a rather different turn to the previous two. Lyrics like "take me underground" and "get my kicks" complete the sultry, dark feeling.
The dark one: Broken English
Also a Sam Sparro co-written track and the one we least enjoyed but perhaps because we were so taken aback by the first three our expectations were huge. A slower, more haunting feel, which builds to a dark crescendo. If the album is split into two (upbeat v introspective) then this fits with the latter.
The one that will give you goosebumps: Outlaws of Love
We were told this track is all about Adam's personal struggles and it's certainly a very honest creation. Our favourite of the five, and the one that most shows off his amazing voice - and range. It's an introspective ballad with resonating lyrics like "You've branded us enough outlaws of love/Everywhere we go we're looking for the sun" that will leave you feeling goosebumpy and chilled - but not unhappy.
Cuckoo screams chart-topper, as it builds into a feast of jubilant electro-pop beats. Adam brings to the table strong, rock vocals as the track breaks into a raw and rough party track with echoes of 80s dance music.
Tresspassing
Tresspassing opens with clapping, stomping and chanting, reminiscent of Queen's iconic track We Will Rock You. With an electric guitar solo and some heavy, breathy vocals, the song is infectious and distinctive.
Shady
Shady is groovy, 80s-flecked electro-pop rock, with dirty percussion and thumping electronic beats. Think classic Janet Jackson with a modern spin.
Outlaws of Love
Outlaws of Love is one of the singer's most personal songs on the new album, dealing with a lover's search for hope and meaning. It opens with the gentle plucking of the guitar and shows off Lambert's vocal range. With lyrics like "Nowhere to grow old/we're always on the run," it's a dark ballad with the potential to really grow on you.
Broken English
Lambert worked with Shakira producer Lester Mendez on Broken English, which features jazzy, echoing piano and builds to a bold, dirty chorus with more impassioned vocals. The track has elements of noise pop, with the sounds of grinding engines and spacey electronic beats, layered under Lambert's warbling falsetto. An intriguing mix.
A Clockwork Orange or One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, if the video is based on movie..
I hope it's not Clockwork Orange. Rihanna already did that for "You Da One".

Sounds great!! I actually think this song fits Adam more than it fits Bruno. I think that if it's not featured on the album it'll be released somewhere in the future like "Can't Let You Go" or "Voodoo".

That would be HUGE but I don't wanna get my hopes high cause I don't wanna be let down with that.
