Obviously when he mentions masculinity, he's just referring to the fact that people in and who support the rap community sees homosexuality as instantly feminine or at least degrading to a male's masculinity. Just look at the mass amount of ignorant statements said about Frank when he came out. But he's a singer. If Jay-Z came out tomorrow, saying him and Bey are really best girlfriends and the baby is really Solange's the rap community would go into WW3 mode. Respect would be lost, criticism would be thrown, etc.

I mean some of you here yourselves drag extremely effeminate gays, but get up in arms when a celebrity says something. Even though what he said doesn't feel wrong or offensive.

The reason pop stars even call upon rappers to do songs is the hope they can crossover into the male demographic with their girly pop songs. Vice versa for rappers calling upon pop singers to help crossover into Top 40 demographic. And you have the nerve to call him ignorant.

Some of you are acting as if Snoop said he hates gay rappers.

He has been part of the Hip Hop community for a very long time so he obviously knows what will be accepted and what will be shunned. I have no problem with gay rappers myself but the majority of them just purposely flaunt their sexuality in people's faces just for the hell of it, and that **** isn't gonna fly in the Hip Hop community. You need to earn respect, and do it by showing how skilled as a lyricist you are.
