Yup, that's why I won't update her number (and rank her above MJ) 'cause it would not be an accurate reflection of their actual ranks 'cause his receipts are outdated. Billboard is in serious need of updating his numbers. Hopefully on his 5th death anniversary (this year).
EDIT: I updated her number on the best-selling female artists of the Soundscan era list though

You could still update her number here, if you wanted. I agree about not ranking her over MJ, though. I don't want to unfairly give her an achievement she may not yet have earned.

Hmm, ok. Lemme see how I can format it in a non-confusing way.

OK done, Eternium. The formatting sucks a bit, but

actually no. Celine was ranked higher than Mariah up until 2005... Mariah extends her lead not the other way around.

So many country acts (relatively) surpassing Madonna. But, still, it's the USA

OK, so I have an update on Prince' sales. He's sold 18.5 million in the Soundscan era. And it's mentioned in the April 12 issue of Billboard that Michael Jackson has sold 21.7 mil from 1991-June 2009 and 12.7 mil from July 2009-Present, so he's total sales would be 34.4 million.

That's cool, but it's too low for her to make the top 50.

You're missing a few R&B/Hip-Hop Artists.
R. Kelly, Boyz II Men, and Tupac have likely sold more than 20 million albums since 1991.

14) Kenny G (34,248,000)
15) Shania Twain (34,250,000)
Shania has higher sales but a lower rank?

I didn't find any up-to-date receipts fro R. Kelly and Boyz II Men (If you did, then please share them), but Tupac is already on the list. Have another look.

Sorry, I'll correct it. Although Kenny G has sold more than Shania taking in consideration that his 34,248,000 receipt is a late 2011 one while Shania's 34,250,000 receipt is an early 2013 one.

Yes, I blame it on the slow releases. She only released five real studio albums in 15 years. Just posted it just in case people are wondering where X stands in the SS era.
