Honestly I would love for this to be the #1 movie of all-time beating Avatar, be let's be realistic, it just won't happen

But I'm more than happy with the records and gross so far. Anything over a billion is AMAZING

Well, if you think about it, then it's possible. Harry's takings will be very front-loaded as we're seeing, but won't come close to the longevity that Avatar had.

That means it can break all these one day to week records, but it won't break multiple week records like Avatar, in the end not passing its gross.

I don't know why everyone brings up the past front-loaded runs of Potter films and relate it to this film. There's a couple of factors that people tend to be forgetting:

1) It's the last film of the series.
2) It's getting the best reviews of the series.
3) People who haven't watched all of the films in theaters are going to see the film on the big screen.
4) I've heard rumblings of many people going to see the film at least twice.

I would be relatively shocked if DHP2 didn't break $400m domestic.

Do you think it won't have longevity? There's plenty of people like me who haven't gotten the chance to see it yet. Those movies usually last a long time in the theaters.

Probably. And in terms of longevity, it doesn't matter that there are still people who haven't seen it, that's always the case with big films, except this is part of an established franchise, which always leads to frontloading. This won't be a special exception in that regard.

Nope, that would require a $66m Saturday, which would require a 33.3% increase from the Friday gross (not counting midnights). That doesn't happen for films opening during summer, especially franchise films.
