One of the few alternative pop hits I've liked these past two years. It just had some electronic elements to it that drawed me in and it worked well with the dark nature of the song. It's still a bit overrated though, and this most likely is going to be the only song I'll ever like by them.

159. Christina Perri - Human
There have been so many "Human" songs released within the past couple years. In my honest opinion, I connect to this one the least. The lyrics in this one are too metaphorical and too sugar-coated for me to fully connect. To me, I connected a lot more to Krewella and Cher Lloyd's songs with that title than Christina's. Christina does have one consolation though, this is better than The Cheetah Girls song with this title.

158. A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera - Say Something
There is something so simple about this song that captivated me enough to sing parts of it. If I like a song enough to actually start singing it, then it deserves a spot on the countdown. It's also nice to see Christina hold restraint for once.

157. Miranda Lambert - Automatic
It's time to part ways with Miranda in this countdown. This song seems to really shade the futuristic view of stuff being handed to you. I have to admit, I kinda agree in some things. I know for a fact I'm making my boyfriend a heartfelt CD completely made out of heart. I don't need to buy him some expensive Call of Duty game to make you happy. I think being an early 90s baby kind of kept me from being too obsessed with technology. But this song sends out a good message. I feel like the 2000s babies are going to end up like that.
Final appearance of Miranda Lambert
156. Justin Timberlake - Not a Bad Thing
For me, this is the second best single from the era after Mirrors. The song is just so cute and kind of uplifting. I think that's why it was a radio hit, because it just makes you happy when you listen to it. It's not anything extraordinary, but it's a feel good song and that never hurts.

155. Pitbull f. Ke$ha - Timber
The #1 song on my birthday this year on the Hot 100. Can't go wrong with that unless the song sucks like Irreplaceable or Locked Out of Heaven. Luckily I like this song and its a bop. It sucks though that this will be Ke$ha's last hit for awhile.
Final appearance of Pitbull. Only appearance by Ke$ha
154. Sia - Eye of the Needle
Does anyone find it scary that so many singles are getting eliminated and I still have plenty of promotional singles to appear? I don't, but I'm sure a lot of you guys are. Well, thankfully we can say goodbye to one of them now with Eye of the Needle. Between the two promo singles for 1000 forms of Fear, I prefer the other one over this, but this is still a nice song, even if Sia is hard to understand sometimes.
One of three appearances by Sia
153. Christina Perri - Burning Gold
Christina is out after just a six space gap. This song is much better than Human. The production is nice and Christina sounds empowering on this. However, there is another song by her that is 10 times more empowering, and that is why Burning Gold is appearing at 153.
Final appearance by Christina Perri
152. One Direction - Fools Gold
The second weakest promotional single from FOUR leaves us now. It's in the key of my favorite color though (purple). The lyrics are nice during the verses, the chorus is a bit underwhelming though. Not as underwhelming as other songs that charted below it but this song could have been just a little bit better.
Third of eight appearances by One Direction
151. Kylie Minogue - Into the Blue
While we have plenty of Aussie acts charting on this countdown, the first one to get eliminated is the one that is making her only entry just short of the Top 150: Kylie Minogue. This song makes me think of the ocean when the chorus comes on and the song is kind of uplifting, but Kylie's processed vocals kind of make the song just slightly polarizing. Regardless, it's a cute song.
