But the reason for that is most likely because OTF was still fairly new when the video premiered. By the time she performed the song on Idol it had already sold over a million copies so the effect wasn't going to be as big.

tbh, I don't see the Idol premiere having a big effect for Beyonce as it did for J.Lo since J.Lo's song was still in the top ten when the video premiered but I wish Beyonce good luck. I'm part of the minority that actually likes "Run The World".
